(KKTV) - Alongside Inauguration Day, is Martin Luther King Jr. Afternoon, where the former American public figure and civil rights activist is remembered, honored, and celebrated every third Monday of January. Even though the Colorado Springs area expects freezing temperatures tomorrow, the “Freedom March” at Antlers Hotel pushes through for Dr.

King’s legacy.

Attendees will be walking around the hotel Monday at 10 a.m., with an “All Peoples Breakfast” starting the event at 8 a.m. The breakfast is now closed for registration, however, the march is free and open to the public.

Isaac Newton Farris Jr., Dr. King’s nephew, will be the keynote speaker during the breakfast.

“He actually captures the essence of Dr. King,” Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Legacy Preservation World member, Nicholas Crutcher, explained.

“He favors him, he looks enjoy him, the mannerisms and thereof, but even bigger than that, for our youth to be able to talk to him.

His passionate, but non-violent protests, helped to raise awareness of racial inequalities in America, foremost to significant political change. Martin Luther King was also an eloquent orator who captured the imagination and hearts of people, both black and white. “So, I dedicated my life to the youth to make sure that any community that we’re in, the people are successfully represented And not only that, but they take ownership.”

Crutcher started and runs a non-profit society development corporation, soon to be accessible across the nation.

Crutcher Cornerstone Movement focuses on many aspects of growth and convert within individuals.

“Dr.
